A blog of new and mature wine reviews for the discerning wine consumer

The 2010 Ingolby Chardonnay delivers relatively bland citrus/melon fruit flavours. The oak adds some texture, but the wine is not complex. It is an easy drinking style, clean and dry, better than most Sauvignon Blancs.
I am a very interested amateur wine taster and drinker. I have collected wine since 1983 and hold a 1500 bottle wine collection of mainly red Australian wine, but also some wine from France, Italy and other countries. You can contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org.
I score each wine out of 100 points, similar to many other reviewers. This score reflects my perceived objective assessment of the quality of the wine, its purity of fruit, complexity, elegance, structure, length of expression etc. The second score is an amendment, depending on how I personally like the wine: up to three + for a wine I like very much, and three - for a wine I don't like. The +/- score may correlate with the numeric score, but not necessarily so.
