Perhaps the sample size for the poll is too small to interpret anything meaningful? I had a 1990 St Henri over the weekend and it was fantastic. Full of fruit and well integrated tannis. Surprisingly fruity for such age and I great example of why it pays to cellar for a long time.
I am not surprised. 1990 was a great vintage and Penfolds really knows how to make ageworthy wines. Interesting also that this wine sees no new oak, therefore the great fruit. I certainly like to drink the best wines at 10 years +.
